Employment: Full-time

Minimum Experience: Mid-level

Compensation: $17/hr. - $22/hr. depending on experience+ company bonus + performance bonus

Location/Responsibility: Lexington, KY based with additional responsibility for Louisville, KY satellite warehouse.

Job Description: The Warehouse Technician role is responsible for the accurate and timely translation of PV engineering designs to install ready job and parts kits, vehicle stocking, inventory management, supplier ordering systems and tool management. Two locations, Lexington (main) and Louisville (small satellite) are within the job scope.

The ability to take the active and energetic lead in introducing new systems (physical and IT) and processes to improve materials control is critical to success in this role. Purely executing existing approaches will not meet role expectations.


    » Manage and schedule all daily warehouse activities and ensure compliance to all approved company processes
    » Work closely with the Design & Engineering Team Leader and General Manager – Operations and Technology to discuss and prepare for upcoming installs, direct to site deliveries or special project needs
    » Work closely with key local electrical factors to ensure inventory/asset replenishment and availability
    » Manage stock levels on all core job materials and ensure timely replenishment to allow 100% install completion without parts shortage
    » Verify counts and receive all incoming stock by comparing packing slips/invoices with purchase or transfer orders
    » Transfer inventory to its location in the storage facility or to shelves using the approved company inventory processes and software
    » Ensure all palletized material has approved material identification labels affixed
    » Assist staff or other non-warehouse workers find specific items
    » Pick and document all equipment and inventory needed for each install and service start
    » Check all work orders and remaining inventory routinely and manage all purchase orders and supplier communications to ensure timely stock ordering and delivery
    » Manage external 3rd party warehouse storage as and when required
    » Assist in maintaining vehicles and their key item stock levels and tool allocation
    » Ensure Louisville residential install team warehouse is provided with key install materials as required each week and ensure ongoing small parts inventory levels
    » Perform full quarterly inventory audits and daily cycle counts
    » Keep the warehouse clean & organized
    » Support and abide by all safety regulations set by company
    » Perform other needed job tasks as requested by leadership

Required Skills

    » Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
    » Must have a valid clean driver’s license
    » 3+ years warehouse experience required or combination PV installer/warehouse experience
    » Forklift certified
    » 10 Hour OSHA-Safety course certification (course provided upon employment)
    » Must be extremely organized and have proven ability to multi-task
    » Strong communication skills
    » Must possess great computer skills with Microsoft Office products. QuickBooks familiarity (inventory management) a bonus
    » Must be able to lift 50-70 lbs.repetitively
    » Ability to pass background checks
    » Ability to work core hours of 07:00 – 16:00
