SOLAR SALES CONSULTANT - Louisville, KY

Job Description: Solar Energy Solutions (SES) is seeking a highly-motivated, talented and passionate solar salesperson and community missionary for the Louisville, S. Indiana and S. IL market.The position will be based out of the SES Louisville office and will be focused on driving and developing sales of SES's innovative residential, commercial, agricultural and institutional PV and storage offerings. A sales consulting history, particularly in the solar, HVAC, building products or energy performance industry is strongly preferred. An infectious passion for renewable energy and helping others understand and adopt it is however a must have!

Responsibilities:


    » Lead generation, including prospecting
    » Lead development, qualification and technical site review completion
    » Proposal creation
    » Sales closure and execution of contracts
    » Administration of territory sales processes
    » Meeting defined sales goals
    » Solarize campaign management
    » Representation of SES and development of productive networks with local environmental, trade, civic and environmental groups
    » Working with design engineers to ensure a seamless transition from sale through install completion
    » Attending routine Lexington/Louisville meetings as-needed for training and reporting purposes
    » Researching area-specific opportunities and incentives and development of local sales strategies
    » Processes and product offerings improvement
    » Increasing company profile within territory through talks and public outreach
    » Social media management and update

Requirements

    » Self-starter
    » Confidence to identify and develop new sales channels
    » Strong networking skills to build relationships and message appropriately with a broad range of environmental, civic and business groups
    » Aptitude for home/building electrical/structural site assessments
    » Willingness to study and master key technical, design and electrical components of PV systems
    » Enthusiasm for solar energy and its business opportunities
    » Understanding of home electrical, plumbing and construction basics
    » Demonstrated sales aptitude in technical, finance or home improvement arena
    » Experience presenting to high-level decision-makers
    » Ability to learn and effectively communicate the technical aspects of solar energy systems
    » Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, Twitterand Facebook
    » Understanding of financial analyses, including ROI and loan/lease systems
    » College degree or related experience preferred
    » Able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test in addition to background and motor vehicle checks
    » A strong sense of fun and adventure and a willingness like all of the team to learn on the run, take risks and have a go at anything

This position is required to attend occasional meetings in Lexington, KY and nights away to support project execution. The role is based on a mixedsalary/commission schedule in a well-established territory with a proven revenue history. A company car is provided for business use.
