Job Description: Solar Energy Solutions (SES) is seeking a highly-motivated, talented and passionate solar salesperson and missionary for the Bloomington and S. Indiana market including Evansville and Indianapolis. Ideally based in our rapidly expanding Bloomington territory the position will be focused on driving and developing sales of SES’s innovative residential, commercial, and institutional PV and Solar hot water solar offerings. Sales experience, including experience in the solar industry or experience with financial products is preferred but not required. A passion for renewable energy and helping others adopt it is however a must have!

Responsibilities:


    » Lead development, qualification and technical site review completion
    » Proposal creation
    » Sales closure and execution of contracts
    » Lead generation including prospecting
    » Solarize Bloomington scheme management
    » Working with design engineers to ensure a seamless transition from sale through completion
    » Attending routine Lexington/Louisville meetings as-needed for training and reporting purposes
    » Researching area-specific opportunities and incentives
    » Processes and product offerings improvement
    » Increasing company profile within territory through talks and public outreach
    » Meeting sales goals
    » Social media management and update

Requirements

    » Self-starter
    » Confidence to identify and develop new sales channels
    » Aptitude for home/building electrical/structural site assessments
    » Willingness to study and master key technical, design and electrical components of PV systems
    » Enthusiasm for solar energy and its business opportunities
    » Understanding of home electrical, plumbing and construction basics
    » Demonstrated sales aptitude in technical, finance or home improvement arena
    » Experience presenting to high-level decision-makers
    » Ability to learn and effectively communicate the technical aspects of solar energy systems
    » Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobatand Facebook
    » Understanding of financial analyses, including Net Present Value
    » College degree or related experience preferred
    » Able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test in addition to background and motor vehicle checks
    » A strong sense of fun and adventure and a willingness like all of the team to learn on the run, take risks and have a go at anything

This position is required to attend occasional meetings in Lexington, KY and nights away to support project execution. The role is based on a lucrative commission schedule but other structures (part salary/part commission) will be considered. A company car is provided and a small regional office for business use if required.
