I am excited to announce that Solar Energy Solutions will kick off our tenth year of business in May. Stop by our Lexington office and join the celebration! After 10 years in the Commonwealth we have completed more solar installations than any of our peers and trained a group of full-time installers that have no peer. Solar has now reached the level where it is becoming ubiquitous in parts of the US. That day is fast arriving here in Kentucky and Indiana with system costs lower than ever and paybacks on par or better than most financial investments. For an energy efficient home, solar makes sense and no one is more qualified than SES to show you how. We look forward to the coming years in the Commonwealth.
2015 got off to a fast start at Solar Energy Solutions with big projects left, right, and center. Our world-class installation team has wrapped up nearly 400 kilowatts of PV installations in the first quarter with plenty more to come in Q2. Pictured below (without snow) is the Kentucky National Guard’s new Burlington Solar Array with over 600 solar panels.
While our installers kicked it into high gear this quarter, regional legislatures attempted to place solar policy in reverse. In Indiana a bill to end net-metering failed at the last minute after significant solar lobbying (and help from Barry Goldwater Jr.’s TUSK organization). In Kentucky, the legislature used a snow day to avoid hearings on a Kentucky RPS and utility lobbyists squashed advocate efforts for expanded net-metering. Kentucky also failed to renew solar tax credits with the present $500 residential tax credit ($1,000 commercial) expiring at the end of 2015. Get your orders in today!
We want to remind our clients that SES continues to offer referral payments for helping us connect with your friends and co-workers who are ready to go solar. Each month we spend thousands on outreach and advertising to help potential clients understand the capabilities of solar and gather the information necessary to consider solar for their projects. Our most cost-effective tool for solar education happens to be you – the educated solar advocate. In recognition of your time, we offer a $250 referral payment for each customer.
Thanks again for your business and don't forget to visit our Facebook site (click below) to keep up to date with all the solar news from our region. Have a sunny day!
